It was so much fun putting my granddaughter to work and me just watch. The tile turned out great as well as the rest of the building. To all who like this food court. I still have the vision for the project and desire to see it fulfilled. Right now I don't have the provision but believe when the time is right, the resources will come. I had a man of God once tell me that I look at things as through binoculars. Things far away appear to be close and i need to learn timing!

Well as you know, I retired last October. It has been absolutely awesome. After 48 years of serving the Bay Areas construction needs, you would think I would miss it. Absolutely not in the slightest amount. My life is so good at this stage. I surf most every day. I spend a lot of time with kids and grandkids. Melanie and I get to do a lot more together. I choose what repairs I want to do on my rentals and let others do what I don't want to. I get to plan other projects I would like to do, but with zero pressure of having to do anything. Life is absolutely awesome. Thank you Lord for all Your blessings!!

In my building between coos head food store and crossroads cafe. Base shoe installed and caulked. Ready for final coat of paint. Just a quick update. At this point I do not have any vendors that have signed up or investors that are interested in the project. That is not a problem to me. Even though I am really excited about the project and believe that it will happen, When the time is right it will all fall into place if it's going to happen. so keep spreading the word letting people know about it. thank you

Well my grandaughter and I finished up the floor tile in our building downtown North Bend between coos head food store and crossroads cafe. Feels good!!!! Still patiently waiting for vendors and investors to continue forward with the food court. Until then I'm just loving life , surfing a lot, having a great time with kids and grandkids.

If you haven't noticed there is a new Restraunt downtown North Bend. It's called Blondies and it's a really enjoyable place to visit. Stop in and welcome them to town.

Well I got the banner up downtown at the future location. It has contact info for the vendors and investors to get hold of us. Keep spreading the word, as your the ones that will make this happen

Well it looks like we're having great weather so we can have a great weekend. Grab them fishing poles Surfboards or four wheelers and get out and enjoy our beautiful area. I'm very excited about the concept of North Bend Food Court and I am looking forward to seeing it getting started. I'm at a point that I need vendors and investors. The major cost for this business is the construction of the project. The total cost of the project will be $285,000. The finances will come from Wayne & Melanie Schrunk, grants and other investors who desire to give back to a Community. This vision can't be fullfilled without help from others. I do not have the finances to do this project myself. That's where I am looking for other people that desire to give back to the community that has given to them. In today's market place it's hard for new chef's to come up with the finances for a brick and mortar building. Plus the overhead of that building is very expensive. This concept allows them to get established with a very low investment. Many have gone to culinary schools and learned how to prepare foods for the people. This will now allow them to take their talents and get it to the people. I am working with the local Small Business Development Center to try to make this an incubator program. Arlene Soto will work with them with developing their business plan. Then they can bring in their food cart and get established and collect a following. It may take three years or six years but in the end they will become the Bay Areas next brick and mortar restraunts. Training the next generation is what it's all about!!

Nick asked about beer and wine sales. I would love to see a cart that sells drinks to people and maybe even ice cream. I would love to see growlers filled up with 7Devils Brewery and support local people. It will be a area that has to be worked out with OLCC. Good discussion topic. Let's make it work!
